Job summary

Ambition, a well-established multinational manufacturing organization, is seeking a Plant Controller to support manufacturing finance operations across multiple production sites. The role focuses on cost accounting, financial controls, and strategic decision support to drive performance.

You will partner with plant leadership, supply chain, and regional stakeholders to provide financial insights, manage standard costs, and participate in capital reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline.
• 5–10 years in Finance, Controlling, Cost Accounting, or Manufacturing Finance.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments preferred.
• Proven ability to support plant operations and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing cost accounting activities and conduct detailed cost analyses.
• Lead annual standard cost updates and maintain cost accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
• Support inventory valuation and inventory control processes.
• Partner with manufacturing leadership and regional stakeholders to improve profitability and performance.
• Review capital expenditure and payroll-related financial activities; drive accountability.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established multinational manufacturing organization with operations across multiple international markets. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a highly motivated Plant Controller to support manufacturing finance operations and drive business performance across several production sites.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a global environment, partnering with plant leadership, supply chain teams, and regional stakeholders to deliver financial insights, strengthen operational controls, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Accounting & Financial Controls

• Manage manufacturing cost accounting activities and conduct detailed cost analyses.
• Lead annual standard cost updates and maintain cost accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and audit requirements.
• Support inventory valuation and inventory control processes.

Business Partnering

• Serve as a trusted finance partner to manufacturing leadership teams.
• Support initiatives aimed at improving profitability, productivity, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and regional stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and evaluate investment returns.
• Provide financial guidance on strategic projects and business initiatives.

Operational Finance Support

• Review and monitor capital expenditure projects and investment proposals.
• Support payroll-related financial activities, accruals, journal entries, and general ledger management.
• Drive financial accountability and ownership across manufacturing operations.
• Participate in operational reviews and performance discussions.

Process Improvement & Transformation

• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Drive standardization and best practices across manufacturing finance activities.
• Leverage digital reporting tools and business intelligence platforms to enhance decision-making.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and shared services optimization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Finance, Controlling, Cost Accounting, or Manufacturing Finance.
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, engineering, or production environment is highly preferred.
• Proven experience supporting plant operations, manufacturing leadership, or operational finance functions.
