Job summary

Jelawang Capital in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Associate, Finance & Treasury to support bookkeeping, treasury tasks, and external reporting. The role reports to the Principal, Finance & Treasury and requires 1–3 years in finance operations with strong accounting knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in finance operations, accounting, audit or related functions
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations
• Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
• Meticulous, organized and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and Financial Operations: Process invoices, receipts, journal vouchers, payroll inputs, and staff claims
• Prepare and process payments and disbursements (online banking, telegraphic transfers, bank drafts)
• Liaise with bankers on banking-related transactions and ensure timely posting of transactions
• Assist in monthly and quarterly closing activities, including reconciliations and management reports
• External Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual submissions for stakeholders such as regulators
• Audit And Tax: Compile data for external auditors and tax agents, ensure documentation
• Administrative & Compliance: Maintain records and ensure adherence to SOPs and internal controls
• Other Duties: Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Principal, Finance & Treasury
