Job summary

WPP Production Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Supervisor to oversee comprehensive financial operations, ensuring timely month-end close and the preparation of detailed management and statutory reports in line with internal and regulatory standards.

The role leads a finance team, collaborates with auditors and tax advisers, and supports the Finance Director across all financial activities. A hybrid working model is offered to foster collaboration and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work with Account Servicing team/project manager to verify job completion status, reconciling and closing of jobs, sighting proof of delivery
• Overall responsible in assisting the Finance Director for all Finance aspects including daily operation, monthly/quarterly/annual management and statutory reporting
• Manage month end close for all reporting units ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with Hogarth/WPP requirements
• Prepare/review month-end adjustment journals, balance sheet reconciliations, confirmation and reconciliation of intercompany balances, as well as schedules to ensure accuracy
• Prepare monthly management information including actual to forecast analysis, variance analysis and trends
• Prepare Journal entries
• Assist in month-end Reporting and Closing
• Assist in tracking of outstanding POs
• Liaise with SSC on financials matters and resolve issues
• Maintain internal SOX and other controls/processes to ensure compliance with SOX, Internal and External Audit requirements
• Responsible for SST returns and submission to Customs
• Year round liaison with auditors, accountants and tax advisers to ensure timely finalisation of accounts and filings as appropriate
• Prepare statutory year end accounts
• Oversee office administration
• Manage a team of Senior Finance Executive(s)
• Assist in ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time as required
• Manage highly confidential financial data and proprietary company information with the utmost discretion and integrity

What does Finance Supervisor do at WPP Production?

This role is pivotal in managing comprehensive financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close processes, and preparing detailed management and statutory reports in adherence to internal and regulatory standards. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining SOX compliance, overseeing a finance team, collaborating with auditors and tax advisors, and assisting the Finance Director across all financial aspects and general office administration.

Key Responsibilities
