Job summary

A leading technology and engineering firm in Penang is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to support their Cost Accounting Hub. Responsibilities include performing monthly financial closings, providing variance analysis, and improving internal controls related to inventory management. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience, preferably in an MNC environment. Hands-on experience with Oracle is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Oracle is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support Keysight Technologies Cost Accounting Hub operation.
• Perform monthly financial close activities for cost accounting.
• Work with inventory business owners to improve controls.
• Provide variance analysis and accounting reports.
• Participate in internal, external, and SOX audits.
• Support corporate projects related to inventory or ERP upgrades.
• Document and update cost accounting processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• To support Keysight Technologies Cost Accounting Hub operation.
• Performing monthly financial close activities for cost accounting processes.
• Working closely with business partners or inventory business owners to achieve operational goals and improve internal controls on inventory management.
• Providing variance analysis and accounting‑related reports to business partners or inventory business owners.
• Participate / support internal, external and SOX process audits, walk‑through and / or reviews.
• Support corporate / enterprise projects related to inventory or ERP upgrades.
• Documenting and updating cost accounting processes, procedures and key controls in line with US GAAP & SOX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree majoring in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Business Administration; OR Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in MNC environment or an international accounting firm.
• Good leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze, interprets, summarize and articulate financial data in a clear and concise manner.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle will be an added advantage.
