Job summary

Air Liquide ALBS in Kuala Lumpur seeks a seasoned Finance Project Manager (GBS) to lead process transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across the APAC scope, leveraging DMAIC methods, ERP experience, and strong stakeholder engagement.

You will mentor project teams, manage resources, and drive cost savings while ensuring compliance and alignment with global processes. Fluent English and local language skills are required, with extensive experience in finance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10–12 years of professional experience; or advanced degree with 8+ years experience.
• At least 10 years in project management, handling process transformation and ERP implementations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management; demonstrated ability to influence decisions and motivate teams.
• Strong analytical skills to identify improvement opportunities.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to coach others.
• Advanced skills in Google Suite (preferred) or MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project (a plus).
• Self-driven, outcomes-oriented performer with proven change initiation ability.
• Fluent in local language and English.

The Finance Project Manager (GBS) will execute global or local project management through the use of Continuous Improvement methodologies, strong stakeholder management and expertise to address critical business needs with the goal of improving business processes through process transformation, process automation, saving cost, and enabling business growth. The Black Belt will identify different options and gain approval and/or support for best alternatives from the Project Sponsor, Deployment Leader / program director and managers who will be engaged in project implementation.

• Leads/Drives process transformation/improvement projects, delivers timely results, tracks improvements, ensures control, and maintains accountability.
• Seeks out and quantifies process-improvement opportunities within Finance processes. Assesses/identifies risk to fulfill the defined objectives.
• Identifies organizational barriers; works with Deployment Leaders (Continuous improvement Lead), respective functional managers, PMO or Global Process Owner to recommend and implement solutions.
• Assesses/critiques resources for transformation/ continuous improvement projects. Participates in the project selection process, determines benefits, recommends resources/team members.
• Organizes, plans, reviews, & communicates status of projects managed.
• Trains/mentors project team members in the DMAIC and 7 Step methodologies.
• Models operational excellence, visibly demonstrating leadership/change management behaviors.
• Networks with internal/external resources to bring best practices to the projects/organization.
• Work with PMO and program director in Support to strategic projects

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 10 to 12 years of professional experience; or advanced degree with minimum of than 8 years experience
• Adequate project management work experience required, minimum 10 years, handling process transformation and ERP implementation
• Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management; demonstrated skills to influence decision makes and motivate team members
• Strong analytical skills to identify improvement opportunities
• Excellent verbal/written communication skill is must to train and coach others
• Advanced skills in Google Suite (preferred) or MS office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project (is a plus)
• Self –driven, outcomes oriented performer
• Proven success initiating changes and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• Fluent in local language and capable in English

• Supervisory experience is mandatory
