Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Finance Executive (Finance Operations & Reporting) to manage accounts receivable, maintain financial records, and support reporting activities. The role involves data analysis, reconciliation, and process improvement using Excel, VBA, Power BI, and basic Python.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and strong Excel/VBA skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance, Accounting, or Data-related roles; fresh graduates with strong technical skills are encouraged to apply.
• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable, reconciliation, and financial reporting processes.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; advanced formulas and VBA are preferred.
• Experience handling and analysing large financial datasets.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Power BI and/or Python for data cleaning and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable Management - Monitor outstanding balances and repayments; update account records accurately and timely.
• SOA & Loan Confirmations - Prepare Statements of Account and loan confirmations and related documentation.
• Financial Data Management - Analyze, validate, and ensure accuracy of financial datasets.
• Excel & VBA Automation - Use advanced Excel functions and VBA to improve reporting and automation.
• Loan Account Management - Monitor loan accounts and adjust repayment schedules per terms.
• Restructuring & Rescheduling - Translate changes into financial calculation templates and reflect revised schedules.
• Payment Reconciliation - Reconcile payments, prepayments, backdated entries, and allocations.
• Reporting & Dashboard - Prepare financial and management reports; develop dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
• Data Cleaning & Analysis - Clean and analyze data using Excel or Python where applicable.
• Client & Stakeholder Liaison - Communicate account status and discrepancies with clients and internal teams.
• Audit Support - Provide supporting documents and explanations for audits.
• Documentation & Record Keeping - Maintain accurate and complete financial records.
