Job summary

EBC Financial Group, a global financial services provider, invites a qualified Accountant to join our Kuala Lumpur office. You will handle AP/AR, month-end close, and regulatory reporting while ensuring accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
• 1-5 years of progressive accounting experience handling a full set of accounts
• Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and SST regulations
• Audit or financial services industry experience is preferred
• Familiarity with business intelligence and analytic tools (Tableau, Power BI, Python) is advantageous
• Solid understanding of tax compliance, financial reporting standards, and audit requirements
• Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional standards, and audit requirements
• Able to work independently and manage tight reporting timelines
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Process Vendor AP invoices end-to-end.
• Daily reconcile PSP accounts.
• Review petty cash claims and monitor usage.
• Review staff reimbursements for accuracy.
• Process AR transactions daily.
• Post AP/AR and perform bank reconciliations.
• Organize and archive financial documents.
• Assist Team Leader with other tasks.
