Job summary

Merchants Global SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager/Finance Executive who is Mandarin-speaking and experienced in leading the Finance & Accounts function.

The role oversees financial operations, reporting, cash flow, budgeting, and provides insights for management decisions. Experience in food manufacturing is advantageous; responsibilities include full-set accounting, month-end closing, budgeting, cost analysis, liaising with auditors and tax agents, and enforcing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCount Accounting System.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting, inventory and product costing is highly preferred.
• Familiar with Malaysian taxation, audit and statutory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of full-set accounting and financial reporting.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English; Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day Finance & Accounts operations.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
• Monitor inventory accounting, stock valuation and production costing.
• Analyse product costing, gross profit, expenses and financial performance.
• Prepare financial analysis and reports for Management.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers and other relevant parties.
