Job summary

Apical in Malaysia is seeking a financial reporting specialist to manage monthly and quarterly statutory reporting, liaise with auditors, tax and company secretary teams, and support the annual audit process. You will coordinate group consolidation, provide timely financial data for banking facilities, and assist period-end close across entities.

Based at Bangsar South, this role offers a challenging environment within a motivated finance team. Experience with SAP would be an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or relevant disciplines.
• 4–5 years’ experience in an established audit firm with group consolidation exposure.
• 1–2 years commercial exposure in a similar role is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP is an added advantage.
• Willing to be based at Bangsar South (accessible by LRT).

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly statutory financial reporting review and analysis.
• Liaise with auditor, tax team and company secretary on timely statutory filing and internal deadlines.
• Support annual audit process, including drafting/reviewing financial statements under local and IFRS.
• Provide financial information to banking/treasury for credit reviews and facilities financing.
• Coordinate and provide guidance in group consolidation tasks.
• Review and analyze accounting data and highlight issues for management review.
• Manage group-wide period end activities and data reconciliation.
• Assist in tax planning and budget for the group/entity.
• Assist in monthly book closing of offshore entities within the group.
• Handle ad-hoc assignments as needed.
