Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Executive Recruiters is seeking a Manager, Group Finance in Kuala Lumpur to lead the consolidation process and ensure IFRS-compliant financial reporting across regional entities.

You will oversee quarterly reporting, oversee indebtedness, and coordinate with banks, auditors, and tax authorities while guiding a finance team and collaborating with international subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or recognized professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly Group consolidation reports and analytical reviews for board papers.
• Prepare quarterly reports on Equity, Share Capital, and Loans for foreign subsidiaries for submission to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and commentaries from regional subsidiaries.
• Compile and prepare the consolidated cash balance for the Group.
• Prepare and oversee the Group's consolidated indebtedness.
• Prepare the monthly accounts for the Group.
• Conduct a detailed analytical review of monthly performance versus budget and propose an action plan for Management’s consideration.
• Collaborate with finance counterparts across different countries.
• Coordinate with financial institutions and external parties, such as tax authorities and auditors.
• Ensure that the Group's Financial Statements are prepared in accordance with statutory accounting standards and IFRS compliance.
• Carry out any ad hoc tasks assigned by the superior as needed.

Job Description

• Responsible for preparing the quarterly Group consolidation report and conducting analytical reviews of results for inclusion in quarterly board papers.
  
• Prepare quarterly reports on Equity, Share Capital, and Loans related to foreign subsidiaries for submission to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
  
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and commentaries from regional subsidiaries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or any professional qualification from a recognized accountancy body.
  
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
  
• At least 3 years of audit experience in an audit firm is preferred.
  
• Knowledgeable about the changes and developments in IFRS.
  
• Preferably with experience in financial management and group consolidation.
  
• Ability to work independently with strong communication skills.
  
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines.
  
• Proficient in computer applications and familiar with Microsoft Office.
  
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
