Job summary

BWYS Group in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager / Senior Executive, General Ledger (GL) (Mandarin Speaker) to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure precise recording of financial transactions.

The role includes preparing and reviewing GL entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and monthly/annual financial reporting, with involvement in month-end close, budgeting, cash flow, and variance analysis, liaising with departments, suppliers, auditors, and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare and review general ledger entries, journal postings, and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Review invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and other financial reports.
• Assist in coordinating month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in budgeting, cash flow monitoring, financial analysis, and variance reporting.
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, customers, auditors, and other external parties on accounting and financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support and guide accounting team members.
