Merchants Global is seeking a Chinese-speaking Finance Manager to lead our Finance & Accounts function. You will oversee financial operations, ensure timely reporting, manage cash flow and budgeting, and provide insights to support management decisions.
The role requires a minimum of 5 years in accounting/finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity, fluency in Mandarin, strong Excel skills, and experience with full-set accounting and production costing.

We are looking for a Chinese Speaking candidate an experienced and responsible Finance Manager to lead our Finance & Accounts function. The successful candidate will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, manage cash flow and budgeting, and provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
Experience in manufacturing, especially food manufacturing will be an added advantage.
Manage and oversee the day-to-day Finance & Accounts operations.
Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
Manage full-set accounting, including GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
Prepare and monitor company budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
Monitor the company’s financial position, cash flow and working capital.
Review and control accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control.
Monitor inventory accounting, stock valuation and production costing.
Analyse product costing, gross profit, expenses and financial performance.
Prepare financial analysis and reports for Management.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers and other relevant parties.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements and statutory regulations.
Review and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
Monitor company expenses and identify opportunities for cost control and improvement.
Assist Management in financial planning, business analysis and decision-making.
Perform other finance-related duties and projects assigned by Management.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Fluent in Mandarin and able to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking Management.
Good command of English. Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of full-set accounting and financial reporting.
Hands-on experience with AutoCount Accounting System is required/preferred.
Experience in manufacturing accounting, inventory and product costing is highly preferred.
Familiar with Malaysian taxation, audit and statutory requirements.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Good leadership and team management skills.
High level of integrity, responsibility and attention to detail.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
