Job summary

MKS Instruments invites a Finance Intern to join our team in Malaysia. You will assist on various finance projects, report to the Finance Shared Service Center Manager SEA, and participate in AR, AP, FA, and expense claim activities.

The role emphasizes analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and familiarity with ERP systems, Power BI, and Tableau. This internship offers exposure to multiple finance functions within a global tech company.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration.
Working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Table, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS and data analysis.
Exposure to ERP systems, Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, Alteryx or automation tools is an added advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable (AR): Support billing, cash application, customer reconciliations, aging analysis, collections follow-up and intercompany transactions.
Payment Operations: Prepare payment proposals, validate supporting documents, support payment processing, bank reconciliations and treasury-related activities.
Accounts Payable (AP): Review supplier invoices, process transactions, monitor approvals, perform vendor reconciliations, support vendor master maintenance and month-end activities.
Fixed Assets (FA): Support asset capitalization, transfers, disposals, reconciliations, asset verification exercises and audit requests.
Employee Expense Claims: Review expense claims, validate receipts, process reimbursements and maintain audit-ready documentation.
