Job summary

Bandar Utama City in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Executive/ Senior Executive to support day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, effective internal controls, and timely statutory compliance. Depending on seniority, the role may supervise junior staff.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, assist the CFO in timely reports for management and stakeholders, and support budget reporting with variance analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Executive level experience: 2–3 years; Senior Executive: 4–5 years.
• Strong knowledge of MPERS and Malaysian tax regulations.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Assist Finance Manager / CFO in timely reports for management and stakeholders.
• Support budget reporting with variance analysis on a quarterly basis.
• Review reconciliations of sub-ledgers to general ledgers for accuracy.
• Maintain general ledger records in line with MPERS and tax laws.
• Conduct month-end closing activities including journal entries and accruals.
• Supervise subordinate staff in day-to-day financial functions.
• Review daily transactions processed by junior team members.
• Review and process supplier invoices, payments, and AR/AP tasks.
• Assist with project financing matters and cash flow monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and liaise with auditors/tax agents.
