Job summary

Budiwan Sdn Bhd in Sabah seeks a diligent accounting/finance professional to support daily operations and financial reporting. You will manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, prepare invoices and vouchers, and perform reconciliations.

Assist in monthly financial reports, monitor project costs and handle project billing and subcontractor payments, ensuring accuracy and independence. This role also involves audit, tax and statutory matters, requiring strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Relevant experience in accounting/finance; construction industry experience is an advantage.
• Proficient in accounting software; familiar with SQL is an advantage.
• Good communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager on daily accounting and finance operation matters.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers and receipts.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist the manager in preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts.
• Assist in analysts and monitoring of project costs, expenses and budgets.
• Handle project billing, progress claims and subcontractor payments.
• Prepare monthly account statement and monitor outstanding payments and follow up with clients.
• Assist with cash flow planning and financial analysis.
• Assist with audit, tax and statutory matters.
• Responsible for proper accounting entry, records and documentation.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.
