Job summary

Staubligroup is seeking a Finance Executive to join the office-based finance team in Malaysia. The role supports finance activities for Singapore and Malaysia with potential SEA expansion, handling AP/AR/GL, intercompanys, and financial reporting in SAP and related tools.

Responsibilities include budgeting, cash flow, audits, tax support, and process improvements while collaborating with stakeholders across the region. A Diploma/Degree in Finance and at least 2 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma, degree or professional certificate in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years in commercial finance or shared services.
• Experience with SAP (Tcode) and SAP ECC/S4 Hana.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards; One Stream knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day finance bookkeeping in AP, AR and GL, including data entry, vendor management and payments.
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions across entities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and forecasts in SAP and dashboards.
• Support budgeting and cost allocation, submit templates within global timelines.
• Assist audit and tax data requests; ensure timely filings.
• Update cash flow templates and monitor liquidity.
• Identify process improvements and participate in automation projects.
• Support global restructuring initiatives in finance.
• Participate in ad-hoc tasks and system testing to meet project timelines.

POSITION TITLE : Finance Executive

LOCATION

Malaysia (Puchong)

REPORTING LINE

Finance Director/Regional Finance Business Partner

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

You work as part of an office-based finance team to support all finance activities within the Singapore and Malaysia business and potential future footprint expansion in SEA region.

ACCOUNTING

Carry out the day-to-day Finance bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities in AP, AR and GL such as AP, AR data entries processing, credit management, vendor management & employee expenses payment processing, collection, bank reconciliation, GL & Fixed Assets management with journals preparation, reconciliations, adjustments and others.

INTERCOMPANY TRANSACTIONS

Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions across various entities.

FINANCIAL REPORTING

Support in preparing and maintaining monthly management accounts, financial statements, financial related reports and forecast updating via SAP system, uploading financial data into organization's accounting systems (Other systems or dashboard in use: One Stream, Info-Tech, Qlik)

BUDGETING

support in data collection from divisions, input and prepare budget templates inclusive of cost allocation processes for management discussion and submission/uploading budget templates following Global timeline and instructions

AUDIT AND TAX SUPPORT

Support in providing requested data and reports to ensure audit results, direct and indirect tax returns and submission are carried out timely and accurately.

CASH FLOW MANAGEMENT

prepare and update cash flow template as assigned

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

identify areas of improvement, standardization and automation on daily tasks, develop and document DTPs and participate in automation or system enhancement projects to improve process efficiency

GLOBAL RESSTRUCTURING

Taking active role in any Global driven Finance related restructuring or transformation initiatives

AD-HOC FINANCIAL RELATED TASKS

actively participate in any ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior inclusive systems testing to ensure projects completed within project timeline

EDUCATION

Diploma, Degree or Professional Certificate in Accounting or Finance related field

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years hand on experience in commercial finance function or shared service environment. Some knowledge or experience with SAP transaction code (Tcode). Experience in SAP EPR or ECC or SAP S4 Hana.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Minimum of 2 years' experience in SAP Finance modules, good knowledge of accounting principles and standards, knowledge of One Stream will be an added advantage

SOFT SKILLS

Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders; come with customer service mindset to support internal clients effectively

A strong team player, self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently in agile and fast-paced environment

LANGUAGE LITERACY

Good verbal and written communication in English. Knowledge of Chinese or Cantonese to communicate with stakeholders would be an advantage.

MOBILITY

Willingness to travel approximately 10% - 20% within SEA

FLEXIBILITY

Flexibility of one day work from home in a working week
