Job summary

Rhee Analytics is seeking curious interns for a data analytics internship focused on financial markets. You will work with real market data across U.S. and Hong Kong listed companies, using Python, SQL, and Power Query to analyze, clean, and transform data.

You’ll gain hands-on experience by improving execution algorithms and performing back-tests while leveraging AI prompts to enhance workflows. Commitment is 10 weeks, salary commensurate with experience, based in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python, SQL and Power Query; experience with data analytics appreciated.
• Interest in financial markets and interpreting statements (income, balance sheet, cash flow).
• No prior internship required; strong curiosity and motivation to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analytics on financial market data.
• Use Python scripts to retrieve and analyze data stored in MySQL Workbench.
• Improve existing Python scripts and data pipelines.
• Transform data with Power Query to present clear formats.
• Back-test strategies using DuckDB SQL or similar tools.
