Job summary

APRIL in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting, consolidation, compliance, and finance operations across multiple entities. You will drive governance, operational excellence, and support growth initiatives.

You will manage closing cycles, consolidate results, lead audits, and provide analysis to guide management decisions. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, ERP proficiency, and effective leadership to build a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance or related field with a recognized professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
• Approximately 8–12 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, consolidation, audits, or corporate finance.
• Experience in public accounting or multinational environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end financial closing cycle across regional units.
• Oversee consolidation, management reports and statutory statements.
• Lead external audits and ensure statutory/regulatory compliance.
• Monitor performance and provide analysis for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax and governance.
• Collaborate with auditors, tax advisers, lenders and regulators.
• Support treasury and cash flow management.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Coach and develop finance team for high performance.
• Support strategic projects and transformation initiatives.
