Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Kuching is looking for a Director of Finance & Business Support to lead hotel financial operations, safeguard assets, and advise on profitability with the GM and owners. You will direct accounting, auditing, payroll and budgeting activities, and build a high-performing finance team.

The role requires 4–8 years in hotel accounting or audit, a relevant degree, and knowledge of USALI. Fluency in local languages with English preferred is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance; professional accounting knowledge preferred.
• 4 to 8 years' experience in hotel accounting or audit; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting management duties including payroll, asset management, government reports and tax returns.
• Must speak local languages; English and other languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct hotel financial operations and ensure asset security.
• Report on the financial state of the hotel and advise on profitability improvements.
• Serve as first point of contact for financial and accounting issues with GM, owners, auditors and regulators.
• Develop and coach the finance team; ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
• Review contract and vendor arrangements; manage insurance and licenses.
