Job summary

AIA Malaysia is seeking an experienced Finance professional to manage monthly closing for GOE and CAPEX, and oversee project accounting. You will review allocations by Line of Business and validate accruals, ensuring accurate reporting to management.

You will drive the annual budgeting process for GOE and CAPEX, perform variance analyses, and provide detailed financial insight to support decision-making. Strong Excel skills and SAP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification.
• 4+ years experience, preferably in managerial role in insurance.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel; SAP is a plus.
• Independent worker able to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Strong presentation, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly closing for GOE, CAPEX, and project accounting.
• Review month-end GOE allocations by Line of Business (LOB).
• Validate GOE accruals and ensure proper accounting.
• Prepare GOE and CAPEX reports highlighting variances.
• Lead annual budgeting for GOE and CAPEX.
• Conduct budget variance, cost and scenario analyses.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to consolidate cost information.
• Support business case approvals with detailed financial analysis.
• Coordinate with Group Office, auditors, and divisions on GOE/CAPEX.
• Mentor juniors and foster accountability.
• Identify process improvements and update SOPs.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
