Job summary

JAC Recruitment International is seeking a proactive Finance Assistant Manager in Senai, Johor to oversee group accounting operations, financial reporting, and cost management within a manufacturing environment.

You will lead the GL, AP/AR, and fixed assets, coordinate with auditors, and contribute to budgeting, cash flow, and performance analysis while mentoring a junior team. Strong Excel and ERP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Prior experience in external audit and a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Hands-on, accountable, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee group accounting operations, including group consolidation and financial reporting.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and fixed asset functions.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis activities.
• Monitor costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances to ensure effective cost management.
• Review and strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial processes.
• Provide guidance, supervision, and training to junior finance team members.
• Assist management with ad hoc financial projects and business performance analysis.
