Job summary

Eurofins Mechem in Malaysia is seeking a field sampling and testing assistant with a Diploma or Bachelor's in Chemistry or related field. You will perform field sampling, prepare reports, and ensure data quality under supervision.

The role requires at least 2 years' relevant experience, proficiency with MS Office, a valid driving license, and willingness to work outdoors in challenging conditions; lifting up to 22.7 kg and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform field sampling or testing according to approved methodologies.

• Verify site sampling information, data, and photos, and update systems.
• Transfer or download data from field sampling equipment.
• Assist in drafting and revising work instructions and worksheets.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety policies.
• Assist senior staff with sampling devices, calibration, and field tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

To perform field sampling or testing accordance to approve methodologies

To prepare field test report

To check the completeness of site sampling information, including field work data, sample submission form and field sampling photos and update into system

To transfer or download logged data from field sampling equipment and field-testing equipment

To assist in drafting and revising work instruction and worksheets

Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner

Follows and enforces company health and safety policies

Assist senior in preparing all the necessary sampling devices and sampler for field work

Assist senior in calibration and maintenance of field work sampling and testing equipment

Assist senior to carry out sampling or testing at sampling site

To perform other job-related duties as may be assigned

Requirement:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemistry related.

Min of 2 years working experience in relevant field in Chemistry.

Basic working experience with computer (MS Office)

Valid driving license and clean driving record

Able and willing to work outdoor in adverse conditions

Able to lift minimum of 50 pounds (22.72kg) and not fear of height

Willing to work outdoor in adverse conditions

Self-motivated and a good team player

Discipline and puncture

Professional work ethic and high level of personnel integrity

Able to work outside normal office hours according to team workloads

Perform task independently with minimum supervision
