Job summary

SDLG Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a proactive Field Service Technician to service and train customers on our equipment across the assigned territory in Malaysia.

You will perform on-site inspections, handovers, and operator training, ensuring machines operate to spec and customer expectations are met. This role requires strong communication, a readiness to respond to emergencies, and the ability to complete records in OLDP.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or after-sales service is preferred.
• Willingness to perform field service work and respond to emergency service calls.
• Strong customer communication skills with high responsibility and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily inspection of demo/marketing machines within the assigned territory, including handover and operator training.
• Complete inspection and handover records and upload them to the OLDP system.
• Forecast preventive maintenance needs for warranty customers and coordinate maintenance and payments.
• Warranty service: maintain 24-hour phone availability; respond to calls within 10 minutes; depart within 1 hour; arrive on site within 4 hours; complete repair of minor faults within 24 hours.
• Out-of-Warranty Service: conduct monthly follow-up calls and record customer updates.
• Coordinate spare parts supply and contact superiors for urgent allocations when needed.
• Confirm spare parts requirements and related charges with customers prior to repair.
• Ensure full recovery of service charges; personal collection of payments is prohibited.
• Spare parts sales: achieve monthly spare parts sales targets.
• Cooperate with the Service Department and other departments in promotional activities.
• Complete other ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors.
