FSE & Engineering Manager
In this role, you will execute service work of low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in alignment with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and perform tasks with a first‑time‑right approach while working closely with customers. You will also demonstrate your technical skills by maintaining prompt action and ownership within your area of responsibility.
This role supports the Electrification Service Business and is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Working with customers (while on‑site) to identify opportunities for operational improvement and address pain points.
Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and analyzing them through remote or on‑site service activities.
Preparing material lists required for service activities and ensuring all materials, parts, and equipment are available and meet quality standards.
Diagnosing equipment or process failures, recommending appropriate corrective actions, and suggesting measures to prevent recurrence.
Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Over 5 years of experience as a Service Engineer specializing in LV and MV switchgear systems, including protection relays and related components, with extensive knowledge in switchgear technologies.
Sound knowledge and hands‑on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing switchgear, with exposure to the Oil & Gas and Data Center sectors.
Ability to travel to domestic, onshore, offshore, and international sites.
A motivated and organized individual with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and clear communication skills.
