Job summary

SEACAD Group for RM OGP Project in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Construction Planner to ensure correct sequencing across the construction phase, coordinating with EPCC planners and site engineers to release IWPs that are constraint-free and optimized for efficiency.

The candidate will support AWP reviews, participate in Construction Readiness, and bring strong experience in SIMOPS, SSP, lifting, and vessel entry, with extensive use of MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD and SP3D in daily planning

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry with installation and pre-commissioning.
• Preferably 5 years in Cat-3 work pack preparation and construction planning for hook-up/installation and pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the sequence of work during construction phase is in accordance with the Path of Construction derived from the Construction Work Area (CWA) of the AWP process.
• Work closely with EPCC Workface Planners and construction engineers to ensure IWPs released for execution are in correct sequence and constraint-free.
• Provide construction inputs to streamline work sequence and reduce rework and punch lists during AWP Execution Plan Review and Construction Readiness Review.
• Report directly to RM OGP Construction Lead (AWP Champion).
• Knowledge in SIMOPS/ SSP, positive isolation, lifting and hoisting, vessel entry, schedule waste management, etc.
• Advanced Work Packaging concepts: CWA, PoC, EWP, CWP, PWP, FWP & IWP.
• Manhour estimation and work sequencing for construction planning (IWP workface planning).
• Familiar with planning software and drafting/3D modelling tools used in the project (MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, SP3D, Navisworks).

• Ensure that the sequence of work during construction phase of RM OGP Project is in accordance with the Path of Construction which derived from Construction Work Area (CWA) of AWP process.
• Required to work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) Workface Planners, Company’s construction engineers to ensure all IWPs to be released for execution are of the right sequence and constraints free, hence, achieving the most optimum/efficient way of construction.
• Expected to participate vigorously and providing his valuable construction inputs to streamline the work sequence and reduce rework and punch list during AWP Execution Plan Review, Construction Readiness Review
• Reporting directly to RM OGP Construction Lead (AWP Champion).
• Knowledge in SIMOPS/ Site Specific Procedure (SSP), positive isolation, lifting and hoisting, vessel entry, schedule waste management, etc.
• Advanced Work Packaging in term of Construction Work Area (CWA), Path of Construction (PoC), Engineering Work Packaging (EWP), Construction Work Packaging (CWP), Procurement Work Packaging (PWP), Fabrication Work Packaging (FWP) & Installation Work Packaging (IWP).
• Manhour estimation and work sequencing in term of construction planning (IWP workface planning) with respect to Construction Work Area and Path of Construction.
• Tanks, steel structure and modularized construction.
• Underground and above ground on metallic and non-metallic piping prefabrication and installation.
• Equipment installation such as gas compressors, pressure vessels, columns, boilers, pumps, valves, conveyors, etc. g) Transportation and erection of heavy lifts and over dimension equipment utilizing cranes, multi-axle wheel transporters, etc.
• Blasting and painting for steel structure and metallic piping/pipeline.
• Equipment, tools, and materials preservation.
• Requirement of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for piping, pipeline, steel structure, vessel, etc.
• Regulatory compliances / requirements for scaffolding work
• Earth Work, piling, foundation, concrete/pre-cast concrete, steel structure, building, etc.
• Familiar with planning software’s such as Microsoft Project/Primavera P6.
• Familiar with drafting and 3D modelling software such as AutoCAD, Smart Plant 3D, Universal Plant Viewer, Navisworks etc.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Qualifications

Minimum degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil) from a recognized institution.

Working Experience

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry with installation and pre-commissioning, commissioning experience in onshore gas plant and petrochemical plant
• Preferably 5 years in Cat-3 work pack preparation and construction planning for hook-up/installation and pre-commissioning and commissioning.
