Job summary
Konecranes is seeking a highly experienced Field Engineer to provide expert support, commissioning, troubleshooting, and modernization of overhead cranes and lifting equipment. You will lead PLC programming, Smart Relay configurations, and electrical retrofits while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in crane electrical systems and automation.
- Expert knowledge of crane electrical systems, control circuits and troubleshooting.
- Extensive PLC programming, commissioning and diagnostics experience.
- Strong experience with Smart Relay programming and applications.
Responsibilities
- Carry out site engineering inspections, troubleshooting, commissioning and assessments on overhead cranes.
- Program, modify and troubleshoot PLC systems including major platforms.
- Configure and troubleshoot Smart Relays and related systems.
- Diagnose faults in crane electrical systems, motors and sensors.
- Prepare engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
- Lead crane modernization, control upgrades and electrical retrofit projects.
- Assess and certify cranes under inspection services.
- Develop relationships with customers through regular visits and consultation.
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with principals and manufacturers.
