Job summary

NCS Global Technology Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, is seeking a Failure Analysis Technician to perform FAFI, electrical failure analysis, and fault isolation on production modules. You will validate using parametric analysis, meters, TDR, SEM/EDX, IRLC, and perform visual inspection of substrates to detect defects.

The role emphasizes data-driven troubleshooting, trend analysis across test results, wafer maps, and process data, and reporting within required timelines while adhering to 5S,

Job description

Perform Failure Analysis & Fault Isolation (FAFI) to determine defect modes and root causes.

Conduct electrical failure analysis to identify component defects and support factory rejection cases.

Carry out validation and fault isolation using tools such as Parametric Analyzer, Keithley meter, iTDR, SEM/EDX, and IRLC.

Perform electrical validation including unpowered IV curve and Time-Domain Reflectometry (TDR) to identify failing areas.

Utilize CSAM, X-ray imaging, and material analysis tools for defect detection.

Carry out visual inspection using microscopes to identify defects on product substrates.

2. Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze data from multiple sources (test results, wafer maps, process data) to identify trends and root causes of low yield issues.

Complete analysis tasks and prepare accurate reports within required timelines.

3. Compliance & Workplace Standards

Adhere to company standards on 5S, Quality, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), and discipline at all times.

Key Qualifications & Skills:
