Job summary

ON Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks an experienced Failure Analysis Equipment Technician to maintain and troubleshoot FA lab equipment, ensuring reliability and minimal downtime.

The role supports FA activities, safety compliance, and collaboration with engineers in a shift-based lab environment. The ideal candidate will hold a technical diploma or associate degree, be comfortable with calibration tasks, and participate in ESD controls and data tracking.

Qualifications

• Diploma or associate degree in a technical field.
• Basic understanding of machine preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting/repair.
• Willingness to work with delicate samples and hazardous materials under controlled procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on equipment.
• Assist in equipment installation and setup under engineer supervision.
• Maintain tools, spare parts inventory and proper documentation of work performed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards immediately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback on equipment performance.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring ESD control measures in work areas.
