Job summary

Carsem (M) Sdn. Bhd is seeking an FA Engineer to lead failure analysis activities and train technicians in FA techniques.

The role emphasizes hands-on analysis of quality incidents, root-cause determination, and cross-functional collaboration to drive improvements in a manufacturing environment. The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, physics, or chemistry and bring 5–10 years of relevant experience, strong report writing, and fluent English communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or Chemistry.
• 5-10 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in technical report writing and problem-solving.
• Strong proficiency in English (writing, speaking, and listening).
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train technicians and operators in failure analysis techniques and procedures.
• Support failure analysis and reliability assessments according to internal and external customer needs.
• Conduct hands-on analysis for quality incidents to identify root causes and solutions.
• Perform general maintenance of lab equipment and manage spare parts inventory to ensure continuous operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and refine FA techniques and prepare detailed technical reports to publish findings.
