Job summary

Dexcom Corporation in Malaysia's Penang campus is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep building systems running safely and efficiently, perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, and support daily business operations.

You will inspect facilities, coordinate with contractors, document work orders, and ensure safety compliance while enabling employees, customers, and visitors to work in a reliable environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing.
• Ability to document maintenance activities and maintain records.
• Willingness to support on-call, shift work, overtime, or emergency response.
• Knowledge of CMMS/BMS/EMS is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems and facility equipment, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and related systems.
• Inspect facilities and equipment, identify potential issues, and ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for maintenance, repair, and improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history.

Facilities Maintenance Technician – Responsibilities

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining building systems, responding to technical issues, and driving preventive maintenance activities that support daily business operations. Where you come in: You are a key member of the Facilities team, ensuring that building systems, equipment, and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshoot facility-related issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workplace safety, functionality, and operational performance. You play a critical role in minimizing downtime, maintaining compliance with applicable standards, and providing a positive environment for employees, customers, and visitors. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems and facility equipment, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems. You will maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history documentation include CMMS. You will inspect facilities and equipment regularly to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers to support maintenance, repair, and improvement projects. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental, health, and safety requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve facility issues and support business objectives.

• You have the ability to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
• You possess strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building utility systems.
• You are able to prioritize multiple tasks, respond to urgent maintenance issues, and work effectively under pressure.
• You are proficient in documenting maintenance activities, completing work orders, and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• You are willing to support on-call duties, shift work, overtime, or emergency response activities as required.
• You are able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
• You have proficiency in basic computer applications and maintenance management systems enables you to effectively track, monitor, and report maintenance activities.
• You have knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), or Energy Management Systems (EMS) is an advantage.
