Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair plant facilities, machinery and tooling. The role requires reporting on machine conditions, performing preventive maintenance and assisting engineers to improve performance.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of machinery experience, be willing to night shift and overtime, and be able to work in a team or independently. Own transport is preferred, with basic English and Malay communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in machinery and mechanical field.
• Willing to work night shift and overtime/public holidays/weekends.
• Able to work in a team and individually.
• Possess own transport to commute to work.
• Basic communication and writing skills in English and Malay.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot and repair plant facilities, machinery, equipment and tooling to meet the expected performance.
• Reporting the inspection machine condition, repairing log events, spare part inventory according to facility department system procedure.
• Carry out the preventive maintenance activities to reduce downtime.
• Assist the facility engineer to continue improve the machinery, facilities and tooling performance.
• Assist the facility to ensure the vendor work meet the expectation.
• Preferable to be able to do low voltage troubleshoot the machinery due to electrical work such as machinery tripped (short-circuit or overload machinery faulty).
• Have experience in hot work such as gas cutting and welding work.
