Job summary

Boston Scientific Medical Device (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Penang is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to ensure equipment downtime is minimized across the plant.

You will perform maintenance on air compressors, water systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and life-support equipment, using drawings and rough sketches. You will manage spares, monitor the BMS system, and coordinate with the manager on safety, environmental, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma/degree or equivalent in facilities maintenance.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and life-support systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on facilities equipment.
• Works from rough sketches and drawings.
• Installs and reconfigures cubicles and office fixtures.
• Monitors BMS system and reports abnormalities to supervisor.
• Identifies, sources, and replenishes equipment spares.
• Maintains preventative maintenance procedures for assigned process or area.
• Communicates safety and environmental concerns to the Manager.

Job description

This position has the primary function of ensuring that equipment downtime is kept to a minimum.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on facilities equipment, i.e. air compressor, process water system, fire suppression system, HVAC, electrical, etc.
• Will work from rough sketches and drawings.
• Performs installation and reconfiguration on cubicles and office fixtures.
• Communicates any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager.
• Responsible for identifying, sourcing and replenishment of all equipment spares.
• Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process or area.
• Responsible to monitor the BMS system, record any abnormalities and highlight to supervisor

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a technical diploma/degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience in facilities maintenance inclusive of Mechanical, Electrical and/or Life Support System (Fire, Gas Alarms)

Required skill(s): Performs plant and/or office facilities maintenance duties, simple electrical projects, light construction.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
