Job summary

Hako Hotel TUTA is seeking a dedicated Facilities Officer / Maintenance Technician to oversee upkeep of lobby, car park, common areas and perimeter, ensuring smooth operation of all hotel facilities.

You will respond to guest repairs, manage electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and boiler systems, train junior staff, and maintain safety protocols while upholding confidentiality and security standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in facilities management, building services, engineering, or related field.
• Certified Facility Manager credential or equivalent.
• At least two years facilities or related field experience.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Experience with CMMS and project management is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and maintain high service standards.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate needs, and provide assistance.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
• Perform repairs in guest rooms and public areas: plumbing, hardware, lamps, AC/HVAC, and other equipment.
• Program TVs, manage inventory, and maintain tools and equipment.
• Monitor fire/life safety systems and respond to emergencies.
• Read technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and test equipment.
• Work independently, solve problems, and train junior staff.
• Follow instructions accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality, hotel security, and professional appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Resident/Operations Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for ensuring the upkeep and smooth operation of all facilities at Hako Hotel Group, including the lobby, basement car park, common areas, and hotel perimeter. He/She must manage both routine maintenance tasks and respond to any immediate issues that arise.

CORE DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES:

Respond to guest repair requests and maintain high service standards.

Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate needs, and provide assistance.

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems.

Previous Facilities or related field working experience at least two years and above in a property is an advantage.

Mechanical skills, knowledge of general repair and plumbing, proficiency with repair tools and techniques.

Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Experience on CMMS & Project Management will be a bonus.
