Job summary

Kenneth Dart’s Dart Real Estate is hiring an Engineer to support a busy facility in the Cayman Islands. You will partner with the Chief Engineer to execute preventive maintenance on laundry equipment, water systems and related processing machinery, troubleshooting issues and minimizing downtime.

The role requires at least 3 years in maintenance, a two-year technical education, and demonstrated knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, boilers and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance position, preferably within commercial laundry facility.
• Two years of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines.
• Proven knowledge of machinery, electricity, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, boiler applications and general facility repairs.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Scheduling flexibility; able to work nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departments to ensure efficient operations.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with preventing downtime through maintenance of laundry equipment, water systems and related processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, replace parts, test and adjust as needed.
• Advise Chief Engineer on parts, supplies and equipment requirements with cost awareness.
• Prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and ensure safety compliance.
• Educate personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions.
