Job summary

Ormond Hotels Group in Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician to respond to guest repair requests and perform routine upkeep of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, boiler, and HVAC systems. The role involves working with diverse teams and ensuring swift, accurate service while protecting guest confidentiality.

The ideal candidate will have basic maintenance knowledge, experience with light machinery, and familiarity with room-service repair duties, ensuring seamless hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of building maintenance.
• Experience with light machinery repair.
• Experience handling technician room service tasks.

Responsibilities

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests and address their needs.
• Understand and operate electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, boiler systems.
• Communicate with diverse people to provide information and assistance.
• Check new maintenance requests and update remarks after task completion.
• Maintain attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Maintain guest information confidentiality.
• Read and understand test equipment, measuring devices and safety manuals.
• Perform maintenance in guest rooms: plunging toilets, unclogging drains, fix hardware and HVAC equipment including lamps and ducts.

• Ability to focus attention on details, speed, and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
• Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
• Perform maintenance activities in the guest room like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, and repairing all types of hardware, and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners / HVAC, and AC ducts.
