Job summary

TF-AMD Penang is seeking a candidate currently pursuing Electrical Engineering studies to assist in operating and maintaining facility systems. You will record readings, monitor conditions, and report faults to supervisors while supporting daily production activities.

The role includes assisting in preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical and facility equipment, troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing components, and adhering to safety and maintenance

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing studies in Electrical Engineering or a related field at a recognised university, polytechnic, or TVET institution.
• Eligible qualifications include Diploma, Certificate, or SKM Levels 1-3.
• Candidates with Chargeman (A0, A1, A4) or Wireman (PW2, PW4) qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Basic communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating, monitoring, and inspecting facility systems and equipment.
• Record equipment readings and check operating conditions.
• Identify and report equipment abnormalities, alarms, and potential faults to the Supervisor / Engineer.
• Support daily facility operations and production activities.
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: assist in PM and CM for electrical and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and replace electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing components.
• Assist in PM for Electrical Panel, MSB, SSB, DB and all circuit breakers (CB) including ACB, VCB, MCCB, MCB, RCCB/RCD, and RCBO.
• Follow maintenance schedules, procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and safety requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records and report equipment defects to the Supervisor / Engineer.

• Assist in preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) for electrical and facility equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and replacing electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing components.
• Assist in PM for Electrical Panel, MSB, SSB, DB and all types of circuit breakers (CB), including ACB, VCB, MCCB, MCB, RCCB/RCD, and RCBO, as applicable.
• Assist in circuit breaker inspection, cleaning, functional checks, and electrical testing under qualified supervision.
• Follow maintenance schedules, procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and safety requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records and report equipment defects to the Supervisor / Engineer.

Qualification:

• Education: Currently pursuing studies in Electrical Engineering or a related field at a university, polytechnic, or TVET institution registered with and recognized by the relevant Malaysian government authorities. Eligible qualifications include Diploma, Certificate, or SKM Levels 1, 2, or 3. Candidates with Chargeman (A0, A1, A4) or Wireman (PW2, PW4) qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
