Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage maintenance requests, complete the make-ready process for vacant units, and operate within established expense limits.

The role includes monitoring building systems and coordinating with the Facility Officer on special projects. The ideal candidate should have an Electrical Engineering Diploma or GED with at least one year of related maintenance experience, and be prepared to support on-call emergencies and safety

Qualifications

• Possession of a diploma preferably in Electrical Engineering or GED.
• At least one year of assignment-related maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests as assigned.
• Make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Facility Officer.
• Work within expense limits established and monitor costs.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost-effective operations.
• Schedule and complete the Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Coordinate special projects as directed by the Facility Officer.
• Assist in monitoring all work by outside contractors.
• Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
• Carry cell phone / walkie talkie for on-call maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain building systems as assigned.
• Report any unusual occurrences and/or damages to the Facility Officer.

• Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests asassigned.
• Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Facility Officer
• Work within expense limits established.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.
• Schedule and complete the "Preventative Maintenance Program".
• Coordinate special projects as directed by the Facility Officer.

• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
• Carry cell phone / walkie talkie as required for on-call maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
• Responsible for alerting the Facility Officer of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have takenplace or that may occur.
• Maintain a professional courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
• Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines.
• Ensure compliance of all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.

Qualifications

Possession of a diploma preferably in Electrical Engineering or general equivalency diploma (GED) and one year of assignment-related maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
