Job summary

Intel Corporation in Kulim, Malaysia seeks an experienced Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design, develop, and maintain industrial instrumentation and automation systems supporting manufacturing, labs, and data centers.

You will troubleshoot, analyze data, and implement engineering solutions to optimize performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent with 2 years of hands-on instrumentation and controls experience.
• Proficiency in GE Cimplicity, Rockwell Automation Logix PLCs, GE SCADA, and Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Knowledge of standard MEP systems for troubleshooting and control system integration.
• Ability to develop installation drawings, data sheets, P&ID drawings, and interface PLC/SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain industrial instrumentation and automation systems for facilities.
• Develop and test new control systems while maintaining and modifying existing systems for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis, providing engineering solutions to issues.
• Prepare engineering assessments and provide technical direction on construction designs and instrumentation implementation.
• Manage projects within defined cost and time constraints, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers, and external stakeholders.
