Job summary

Responsibilities

• Ensure minimal wastage of food and beverages through proper handling and storage.
• Assist in stock counts and inventory control when required.
• Greet guests courteously and assist in seating arrangements.
• Respond promptly to guest requests in a professional manner.
• Gather guest feedback and relay to supervisors for service improvement.
• Assist in setting up and clearing restaurant tables and buffet counters.
• Ensure all dining areas are clean, well-stocked, and presentable.
• Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Be punctual and reliable for assigned shifts.
• Support promotional activities or themed events by distributing flyers, setting up décor, and informing guests.
• Share feedback from guests regarding promotions or special offers.
• Attend scheduled training sessions and apply learned skills on the job.
• Work collaboratively with team members and show willingness to learn.
• Assist in preparing simple reports (e.g., guest preferences, feedback logs).
• Handle filing, menu printing, or guest comment cards if assigned.
• Shadow experienced staff to learn service techniques and customer engagement.
• Assist in replenishing items and reporting low stock to supervisors.
