Job summary

BUILDING TECHNOLOGY is seeking an ELV Technician (Fresh Graduates Welcome) to install, test, troubleshoot and maintain ELV systems at project sites in Malaysia. The role covers CCTV, access control, networking, fiber optics and structured cabling, following technical drawings and safety standards.

The candidate should have a minimum SPM/certificate/diploma in Electrical or Electronics and be able to read technical drawings. Overtime and site travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Electronic or related field.
• Experience in ELV systems (CCTV, Access Control, Networking) is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings is required.
• Basic knowledge of ELV systems installation and troubleshooting.
• Physically fit and able to work in construction site environment.
• Willing to work overtime or travel to different project sites.

Responsibilities

• Install ELV systems including CCTV, access control, fiber optics, intercom and structured cabling systems
• Carry out cable pulling, routing and termination works according to drawings and site instructions
• Install devices such as cameras, sensors, card readers, control panels and network points
• Read ELV layout drawings, schematics and system diagrams
• Execute installation works accurately based on technical specifications
• Assist engineers and supervisors in system setup and configuration
• Conduct testing of ELV systems including CCTV viewing, access control functionality and system checks
• Assist in system commissioning and handover activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve system faults or installation issues on site
• Comply with all site safety rules and company SOPs

The ELV Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems at project sites. This includes security, communication and building automation systems such as CCTV, access control, Networking, Fiber Optics and structured cabling systems. The role ensures all works are completed according to technical drawings, project specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

Install ELV systems including CCTV, access control, fiber optics, intercom and structured cabling systems

Carry out cable pulling, routing and termination works according to drawings and site instructions

Install devices such as cameras, sensors, card readers, control panels and network points

Read ELV layout drawings, schematics and system diagrams

Execute installation works accurately based on technical specifications
