Job summary

Randstad is seeking an Export Sales & Marketing Assistant Manager for its FMCG client in Malaysia. Lead international brand marketing strategy, own marketing lifecycle for export territories, and collaborate on long-term planning, budgeting, and social media activations.

You will drive packaging concepts, new product ideas, and ensure compliance with quality standards while coordinating with distributors and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of solid marketing experience in FMCG or Food & Beverage.
• Experience in annual brand planning, advertising & promotional management.
• Hands-on with distributor/export handling and channel strategies.
• Familiar with export sales operations, stock movement tracking and AR aging.
• Aggressive commercial drive with adaptability for overseas market studies.

Responsibilities

While managing distributor sales operations and supply chain flow, your primary mandate will be driving international brand marketing strategy. You will own the full marketing life-cycle for assigned export territories—from short-to-long term brand planning, A&P budget tracking, and social media activations to new product concepts and packaging enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Brand Planning: Develop, execute, and monitor annual, mid-term, and long-term marketing plans to expand product distribution and maximise market penetration.

• Distributor & Channel Management: Maintain close communication with international distributors, evaluate their sales performance, and optimise channel strategies based on regional consumer insights.

• Marketing & Brand Awareness: Drive consumer engagement and brand visibility through strategic social media campaigns, promotional kits, trade activations, and marketing events.

• Product & Packaging Improvement: Support regional business development by recommending new product concepts, packaging structure/design enhancements, and cost-optimization initiatives.

• Export Sales Operations & SCM: Oversee export delivery datelines, monitor aging accounts receivable, track inventory/PSI movements (preventing over/under-stocking), and handle sales progress reporting.

• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all export marketing and sales activities comply with Halal, Food Safety & Quality, Environmental, and Food Defense standards

Requirements

• Proven Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of solid marketing experience within the FMCG or Food & Beverage sector.

• Core Competencies: Demonstrated experience in Annual Brand Planning, Advertising & Promotional (A&P) management, BTL/ATL activations, and market research.

• Distributor & Export Handling: Hands-on experience working directly with third-party distributors; export sales or overseas marketing exposure is strongly preferred.

• Operational Acumen: Familiarity with export sales operations, stock movement tracking (PSI), AR aging, and supply chain coordination.

• Attributes: Aggressive commercial drive, high adaptability to different regional market dynamics, and willingness to travel overseas for customer visits and market studies.
