Job summary

Texas Instruments is seeking an Equipment Technician to join our manufacturing team in Kuala Lumpur. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and installations on turret equipment and collaborate with engineering and production teams to keep tools running at optimum uptime.

Minimum 3–5 years in semiconductor equipment, diploma in electrical/electronic/mechanical, and strong Troubleshooting, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience as an equipment technician in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Exposure to turret/test equipment is a plus.
• Diploma in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on turret equipment to ensure reliability, availability, and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and motion-related issues on turret systems and identify root causes of repetitive equipment failures.
• Monitor equipment performance, downtime, alarms, and maintenance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in equipment uptime and MTBF/MTTR.
• Execute equipment recovery and repair activities to minimize downtime and restore tools to production within the required timeframe.
• Perform equipment setup, calibration, adjustment, and component replacement while ensuring equipment meets process and operational requirements.
• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve turret equipment-related issues and implement preventive actions to avoid recurring failures.
• Support equipment improvement projects, upgrades, and modifications to enhance turret equipment reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Minimum requirements:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as an equipment technician in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to turret/ test equipment will be an added advantage.

• Diploma in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or any relevant fields.
