Job summary

MR DIY International in Malaysia is seeking a Regulatory Affairs & Product Compliance professional to ensure products meet local and international standards across multiple categories. You will liaise with local teams and third-party consultants for approvals, licenses, and certificates while supporting import operations.

The role requires a solid understanding of regulations, HS codes, and ISO frameworks, with 1–2 years’ experience. English proficiency is essential, Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in product compliance, product safety, or regulatory affairs.
• Good understanding of local regulations, Customs operations, and HS codes.
• Experience working with third-party agencies and ISO/ product compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products comply with local HS codes, import regulations, and international standards across categories such as Household, Medical, Appliances, F&B, and Cosmetics.
• Liaise with local country teams and third-party consultants for quotations, product approvals, and management of compliance certificates, licenses, and permits.
• Collaborate with the import team to resolve any issues during the importation process.
• Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs related to product compliance.
• Monitor and report legislative changes, providing guidance to management on the impact of evolving regulations.
• Maintain and update regulatory files and databases, including reports, licenses, permits, and certificates for internal record keeping.
• Manage a tracking system for all compliance-related safety certificates, licenses, permits, and documentation.
• Attend project meetings to provide updates and address compliance-related issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) for coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
