Job summary

Aurelius Healthcare Group is seeking a Group Director of Nursing (GDON) to lead clinical nursing and operational standards across its hospitals in Malaysia. The role requires executive leadership, policy development, financial stewardship, and delivering high-quality patient care consistently.

You will collaborate with executive leaders, clinicians, and external stakeholders to advance nursing excellence, workforce development, safety, quality, and patient-centred care across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of nursing experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior managerial position within an acute or tertiary hospital.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and nursing practice frameworks.
• Visionary leadership with ability to inspire across diverse teams.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the corporate nursing strategy aligned with mission, vision and goals.
• Provide executive leadership to ensure consistency of nursing practice across Aurelius Hospitals.
• Advise the Chairman, Board of Directors, and senior leadership on workforce and clinical innovation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
• Lead enterprise-wide nursing workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and succession strategies.
• Oversee nursing budgets, productivity, and resource utilization.
• Represent the organization in nursing, healthcare, and policy forums.
