As a Group Director of Nursing (GDON), you will function as a senior executive responsible for overseeing the clinical nursing and operational standards across the multiple Hospitals in Aurelius Healthcare Group. This strategic role involves executive leadership, policy development, financial management, and ensuring high-quality patient care is delivered consistently throughout the organization.
This GDON must provide visionary leadership, ensure that nursing practice standards are consistent, evidence-based, and aligned with organizational goals. GDON also collaborates with executive leadership, clinical leaders, and external stakeholders to advance nursing excellence, optimize workforce development, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care.

This GDON must provide visionary leadership, ensure that nursing practice standards are consistent, evidence-based, and aligned with organizational goals. GDON also collaborates with executive leadership, clinical leaders, and external stakeholders to advance nursing excellence, optimize workforce development, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care.
Develop and implement the corporate nursing strategy and ensure that this is aligned with organizational mission, vision, and goals.
Provide executive leadership to ensure consistency of nursing practice and standards across all Aurelius Hospitals.
Advise the Chairman, Board of Directors, and senior leadership on nursing workforce issues, patient care outcomes, and clinical innovation.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
To ensure that the Hospital’s nursing staff adheres to regulatory and legal mandates.
Drive system-wide initiatives to improve patient safety, clinical quality, and patient experience.
Establish metrics, dashboards, and accountability systems for nursing performance.
Champion evidence-based practice, innovation, and research in clinical care.
Partner with Chief Medical Officer, Chief Quality Officer, and other leaders to advance interprofessional collaboration
As patient safety is always a top priority for Aurelius Healthcare you are to kindly be updated of the latest research trends and examine data regularly, leveraging from this to implement services, protocols, and technologies that improve patient outcomes, enhance safety, or both.
Lead enterprise-wide nursing workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and succession strategies.
Promote professional development, continuing education, and leadership pathways for nurses.
Create and sustain a culture of engagement, inclusivity, and well-being among nursing staff.
Nursing best practices are designed to improve efficiency, reduce costs, increase revenue, enhance patient satisfaction, and improve patient safety.
You are to develop and implement these best practices and ensure that nursing staff follow them.
Provide oversight of nursing-related budgets, productivity, and resource utilization.
Partner with finance and operations to optimize staffing models, technology integration, and cost-effective care delivery.
Evaluate emerging trends and technologies to enhance nursing efficiency and patient care delivery.
Represent the organization in nursing, healthcare, and policy forums at local, regional, and national levels.
Build partnerships with academic institutions to support nursing education, research, and workforce pipelines.
Serve as a visible advocate for the nursing profession and patient-centered care.
You must ensure cooperation between various departments and use their resources to improve overall efficiency in nursing operations.
GDON must audit each Hospital’s Director of Nursing regularly and generate a report based on the findings.
You are also responsible for developing performance metrics that serve as benchmarks.
To be involved in making important decisions about the various technologies and services used by nursing staff.
To be responsible for purchasing technology and offering new services in accordance with Aurelius Healthcare budgets to improve the quality of patient care.
While the Human Resource Department handles the logistics of hiring, GDON is ultimately responsible for selecting the correct nursing staff.
GDON is also responsible for overseeing nursing retention and promotion, as well as disciplinary measures.
To perform any other duties as assigned by the Management.
Diploma in Nursing with registration with the Malaysian Nursing Board.
Post Basic qualification is an added advantage.
Degree, Master’s, or PhD in Nursing or a related field is required.
Minimum 15 years of nursing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior managerial position within an acute or tertiary hospital.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and nursing practice frameworks.

Good communication, strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
