Job summary

Ambition seeks a General Manager, Project & Operations to join its executive team and steer the next growth phase in its specialist construction business.

The role provides full operational and commercial accountability, with P&L ownership, strategy execution, and leadership across engineering, project management, fabrication, procurement, and site delivery. Strong client and partner relations will be essential to expand regional presence.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 15–20 years of industry experience in construction, roofing, façade, cladding, or steel structures, with a minimum of 10 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong track record of P&L accountability and executive-level operational performance.
• Commercial acumen across tendering, contract negotiation, and financial management.
• Excellent communication, high attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute operational strategy aligned with the company's commercial vision.
• Own full P&L accountability, driving profitability through disciplined project execution, cost control, and resource planning.
• Take end-to-end ownership of operations - engineering, project management, fabrication, procurement, and on-site delivery.
• Cultivate strong partnerships with clients, consultants, architects, developers, and the wider supply chain.
• Lead, develop, and inspire cross-functional teams, embedding a culture of high performance and accountability.
• Champion a safety-first, quality-driven approach across all workshop and field operations.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for regional growth and market expansion.
