Job summary

SD Guthrie International in Ara Damansara, Malaysia is hiring a Finance Executive to manage and oversee the full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

You will maintain accounts per GPA and SOP, prepare financial statements, coordinate month-end and year-end closes, and support budgeting with insights while liaising with auditors to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy and a professional accounting qualification.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years' experience in financial accounting or audit.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the full set of accounts with accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
• Maintain detailed accounts in line with GPA, SOP, MASB standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor expenses, analyse variances and identify cost-improvement opportunities.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting with financial insights.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather data for cross-functional initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies; liaise with auditors.
• Implement and maintain accounting systems to enhance efficiency.
• Recommend changes to improve compliance and efficiency.
