Job summary

Public Mutual Berhad in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Trading Operations Assistant to support the fund management team. You will place orders to brokers for domestic and foreign stocks as directed and monitor price movements throughout the trading session.

You will confirm and finalize trade orders, input trades into the portfolio system, and assist in preparing all trading-related documents. Fresh graduates may be considered; shift hours including holidays/weekends apply.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/Statistics/Business Studies or equivalent.
• 1–2 years trading experience is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates may be considered.
• Meticulous and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Able to work shift hours, including public holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• To place orders to brokers on domestic and foreign stocks based on the instructions from fund managers and monitor daily share price movement
• To update fund managers on progress of trades throughout the trading session
• To confirm and finalise trade orders and input completed trades into portfolio system
• To prepare all trading related documents
• Assist in the preparation, processing and execution of money market placement and foreign exchange (FOREX) transactions
• Support Central Dealing team and Portfolio Managers in fixed income securities and money market placements
• Ensure that all trade executions are within the respective approved limits and regulatory guidelines
• Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure timely submission of the reports

Job Requirements

• Degree in Finance/Statistics/Business Studies or equivalent discipline
• 1 - 2 years working experience in executing trade orders would be an added advantage
• Meticulous and able to meet tight deadlines
• Fresh graduates or candidates without relevant experience may be considered
• Able to work shift hours, on public holidays and weekends
