Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking an experienced maintenance and reliability engineer to lead machine stability and preventive maintenance for high-end manufacturing equipment in Penang. You will coordinate with manufacturing, yield, and engineering teams to ensure uptime and quality across processes.

The role emphasizes TPM/CMMS certifications, adherence to safety and ISO/IATF standards, and mentoring of technicians. Strong communication across departments and Mandarin proficiency are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Certifications in Maintenance or Machine Reliability (e.g., TPM, CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Machine Stability & Maintenance – oversee PM standards, major repairs, and reliability improvements.
• Production & New Product Support – assist manufacturing plans and machine setup/relocation.
• Cost & Investment Management – drive cost reduction, allocate budgets, support expansion investments.
• Training & Communication – mentor staff, communicate across departments, develop new skills incl. AI and automation.
• Safety & Compliance – follow SOPs, manage safety, EH&S concerns.
• Management Systems & Documentation – maintain 5S/3Tei, update ISO/IATF documentation.
