Linkwing in Kulai, Malaysia, seeks a Maintenance Engineer to develop and implement preventive maintenance plans, lead automation upgrades, and manage the equipment lifecycle to improve OEE and reduce downtime. You will work with Process, Quality, Production, and R&D teams to validate new equipment, document SOPs, and ensure safety compliance, including LOTO and emergency-stop testing.

This role involves developing and implementing preventive maintenance plans, responding to equipment breakdowns, leading automation upgrades, and managing the complete equipment lifecycle. You will work to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reduce unplanned downtime, and ensure compliance with safety procedures across production equipment.
Develop and implement weekly, monthly, and annual Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans, including inspection checklists, lubrication schedules, and replacement standards for wear parts
Improve equipment Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reduce unplanned downtime through TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
Respond quickly to unexpected equipment breakdowns on the production line
Use tools such as FMEA, 5 Why, and SPC to identify root causes and implement both immediate corrective actions and long-term improvements
Lead equipment automation upgrades, program optimization, parameter adjustments, and customized equipment modification projects
Improve equipment cycle time, yield, and energy efficiency through PLC programming, sensor upgrades, and pneumatic system optimization
Prepare and maintain technical documents, including Equipment SOPs, maintenance work instructions, inspection checklists, and troubleshooting manuals
Work closely with Process, Quality, Production, and R&D teams and participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) equipment validation
Manage the complete equipment lifecycle, from equipment selection, purchasing, installation, commissioning, and acceptance to retirement
Ensure compliance with equipment safety procedures and implement LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), safety-device inspections, and emergency-stop testing
Associate degree or above, majoring in mechanical design and manufacturing or other STEM fields
Three years of experience in non-standard equipment maintenance or debugging
Experience in automated production line operation and maintenance, PLC program optimization, and MES data integration is preferred
Proficient in using testing tools such as vernier calipers, dial indicators, oscilloscopes, and multimeters
Able to independently diagnose equipment accuracy deviations and electrical faults
Able to use Excel or BI tools to analyze MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair)
Fluent in reading and writing both Chinese and English
Exceptional equipment debugging and troubleshooting skills
